Instrument Sequencer

DESCRIPTION

Syntheasthesia is an ongoing project utilizing the idea of randomly "thinking" patterns to control rhythm and melody. At the current state there is only one pattern that self-generates quantized patterns without repetition. This FM drum sequence outputs to an envelope follower that is controlling its delay time. Right now its in an infantile stage and sounds rather fxcked but I wanted to upload my first piece anyway to see the response and hopefully some constructive criticism. Synaesthesia is a neurological phenomenon where thought (ex. numbers and music) are perceived as shape and/or color. The original concept of this ensemble is working towards integrating shape design and color scheme to control these "intelligent" sequences (which would actually be a sort of logic formula with some influence of random/probability). Listen to the mp3 links for examples, the second one is cycling/merging through initial snapshots. Thnx, jimmy

Really happy you decided to share your work in this way. The bass is nice and plump. Loads of potential for something new in terms of sequencing. Makes Reaktor feel a little less stale. Will be exciting to see this one evolve and get remixed by all the synaesthes out there. Thank you Jimmy! p.s. Can't tell you how many times Colour Strip has saved my ass while DJ'ing;)

thnx, uploading more soon. -knob/level design set -pitch detector synth with vocoder (a "revoicer" able to change voice timbre while keeping speech tone and vocal pitch) -100 taylor sine envelope followers (inspired by a live version of metasynth) need work *very cpu intensive -24 band Minor9th tuned vocoder with ADSR resonators and graph spreader -sequencer controlled delay line (inspired by Glitch plugin) for AU/VST effect
