Filter with 8-step sequencer
Filtreight is an effect that allows you to rhythmically 'play' a filter on incoming audio.
Every time Filtreight receives any midi event it progresses 1 step in the sequence. Each step has a control to adjust the pan position and filter's cutoff frequency. The filter's resonance in controlled by an envelope or LFO which is selected by the user. The filter can operate in 6 modes (HP2, BP2, LP2, BP4, BL4, LP4). There is a smoothing function that controls the time (in ms) it takes to get from one pan position or cutoff frequency to the next. You can blend the dry and wet signals before it reaches the master out.
Pops and clicks can be heard as the sequence jump from one pan/cutoff value to the next. When these are smoothed out with the provided controls, there still seems to be some digital noise on the panning modulation - if anyone has any suggestions or potential fixes for this I'm all ears.
This is my first Reaktor effect, I hope you enjoy it - any and all feedback is welcome.
ps The audio example is the effect operating on 2 detuned oscillators. The melody plays 2 times before the effect is implemented - there's a touch of reverb as well which Filtreight does not supply.
