DESCRIPTION

The SYS-1_Re-PL Reaktor instrument takes MIDI continuous controller data from a Roland System-1 synthesizer and provides corresponding virtual knobs, sliders and buttons. Settings can be saved as Reaktor snapshots and sent back to the synth. All knobs, buttons and sliders that send or receive MIDI CC data are mapped in this instrument. The System-1 Pitch Wheel, Arpeggio, Arp Type, Arp Step, Key Hold, Octave Down, Octave Up, Tempo, Volume and Scatter do not send or receive MIDI (and so, are not shown in this instrument). There are 2 panel views - one with and one without snapshot morphing.

Snapshots are saved within the Sys-1_Re_PL instrument. To share your snapshots (without distributing an entire Reaktor ensemble), save and share a Bank or specific preset file. Since the System-1 knobs, buttons and faders are not motorized; it is possible for them to get out of sync with the Sys-1_Re-PL instrument (especially, when you first open Reaktor). Use the INIT patches to send MIDI data for all knows and prime the system. Morphing between snapshots can produce interesting results. Use the “Manual” button on the System-1 to bring the Reaktor instrument into sync with the hardware. Once a snapshot is sent to the System-1, you can save it as one of the 8 presets by holding down a preset button.

I suggest partnering an oscilloscope instrument with Sys-1_Re_PL so that you can see what's going on with your synth.

Excellent, thank you! Do you also happen to have something for the JD-xi? Esp. for the params w/o hardware control that would be more than handy...
