1. We're currently conducting systematic tests with the release version of macOS 11 (Big Sur) in order to offer full compatibility of our products as soon as possible. You can find our latest compatibility status - here

Please note that although announced at the same time as macOS Big Sur, Apple Silicon processors are an independent release with separate compatibility concerns for NI products. Compatibility with macOS Big Sur will not yet ensure compatibility with Apple Silicon processors. At the moment, Native Instruments products are not supported on computers with Apple Silicon processors. Read more - here

Just downloaded it! In Infotext I read "Support for the new MASCHINE MIKRO controller". What's that?

I'm happy with that. I don't need 5,000 sounds clogging up my hd anyway lol.

Just saw the mikro img, nice! I'm guessing imaschine is some kinda ipad app but what will it control?

I can see huge potential with this advanced sound browsing feature. It's one thing to be able to load up samples, program a couple of loops then interchange them but imagine interchanging and morphing sounds directly in Maschine.

I think this update will grow on those that aren't thrilled with it yet.

+ 1 @Epikureer, that seems to be the big question right now on some of todays threads. I'm curious to know as well. Sowari? Keir? Thomas? Anyone care to shed some light here? This is a curve ball that we didn't see coming. However, iMaschine seems to be self explanitory. Maybe Mikro Maschine is for android users. But that is only a small speculation.

Interesting though Id be more interested in an extra controller with more knobs to control synth parameters or group FX settings in maschine while I had my main maschine controller on a kit to bang out drums and mute/unmute stuff.

The moderator is an employee of NI I believe. If this is a lightweight iOS app that can be imported into Maschine then this could be huge.

Thomas are you able to tell if multiple controllers are now possible, because if yes, then it would be considerable to get this 2nd controller.
