I noticed that the Kore knobs are going completely crazy here.
When I turn one know others are triggered as well. I already tried
cleaning it, since I suspected dust between the knobs. But this didn't help,
    any ideas?

When I bend over sometimes, I get a little twinge in my back.... any ideas?
A little more info would be helpful :)

Have you tried a different USB lead?
Are you running Kore on a passive USB hub with other devices (I find my Kore controller doesn't seem to like sharing with other devices - least not ones that need power to light things up, looking at you Maschine...).
Have you got the latest Kore drivers? If so, have you tried re-installing them?
What system are you on? Running Kore stand-alone or as a plug-in?

Have no troubles here with Kore 2 on a powered USB hub with Windows 7 64 bit. To me, Windows Vista and 7 both seemed better able to handle USB devices than any earlier version of Windows, XP included.

I would suggest making sure that it's firmly plugged in and maybe try different USB ports and cables.

    Hey guys,

sorry, I forgot to add the details, but I somehow suspected a hardware issue.

I'm running Windows 7 x64. Kore is connected directly to a USB port on my PC.
Happens in Kore standalone and plugin as well.

I haven't checked if my driver is the latest. Will do now...
    ---
Okay, installed the latest driver, same behavior.
Btw, when moving the knobs some values are skipping as well.
I'll change the USB port, last hope...
If everything else fails, I pretty much think that the hardware is defective.

My Kontroller went from fully-functional to 'iffy' to damned-near useless over a weekend - I saw that someone else had posted that they'd wondered if part of the Kore decision to cease was down to how shoddy the hardware performs (shame, the hardware does look gorgeous).

Glad I'm not alone! So yours is the same?
I knew it has nothing to do with drivers...

Damn, I wish we could fix it. So the hardware is garbage now?

It might be the case. If you haven't already, try downloading and (re)installing the NI USB driver from your 'My NI' section of the site.
I'd seen that a few people had experienced issues with the Kore controller and, some of them, had some (limited) success with (re)installing just the NI USB driver.

Personally, this did nothing and have replaced my Kore controller with an automapped Remote SL25; I had originally planned to buy a new Kore controller later this year but NI might've put a stop to that for me ;-)

I already did that :( I'll check the devide on another computer, though.

I own both, Kore and SL25  And for the most of the time, I used the Kore controller for the Kore sounds only. But, now that it becomes useless...

Okay, checked the device on a Mac, same behavior, it's broken...

Did you see touch sensivity parameter ?
One day my kore 1 became crazy and i became crazy too !
And in hardware setting i saw the parameter and set a very small value.
    Kore worked normally after.

The sensitivity parameter is actually set to 0%. Furthermore, I am not able to change it at all.

Here is a video about what the knobs look like when going crazy:

Try using the Controller editor to set the sensitivity. Also, sometimes it is a grounding issue. Make sure that your PC is grounded properly.

Great, tip, however it didn't work :(
Here an animated GIF, you have to download it in order to play it: http://db.tt/q0UeLKR

The grounding thing, hmm, it's the same machine I use for 3 years now.
However, I will check Kore on my laptop.

    Cheers,

    Stevie

I had contacted NI about a similar problem to this and they had me return my Kore 1 controller and exchanged it. I got a bright, shiny, damn near new one...still can't adjust the sensitivity settings in KORE 2...which is what my complaint was Need to check the controller app though and see if it works there.

There is a possibility that it might be due to high humiditiy if you have that. Mine went snakey for a day or so and then started working fine. Humidity was high the day it went nuts.

Was your controller still under warranty, though?

EDIT: just checked the thread, 2006, wow. Will try that!

EDIT: sent a support request, let's see what happens.... Thanks guys!

    Hi Stevie,

    Thanks
