My Maschine Mk3 controller freezes if its powered on before opening the Maschine software.I have to switch it off and on to bring it back to life. This happens EVERYTIME. does anybody else encounter the same issue?

I've experienced it on occasion, zero consistency to the problem.

What OS and version of the OS, DAW, and Maschine software are you on?

Same here. Have to start the software before turning on the MK3, otherwise the lights are on, but no reaction.

The lights are on but nobody's home? Sounds a lot like NI over delivering Maschine's promised features... :- )

I'm a Windows 10 user too; are you on the Insider builds, Old Mike ?

Hey HammyHavoc, tbh, I am not really sure, I should check this. Is this set by default?

Intel or AMD CPU? NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel GPU? Do you plug it into a USB hub? Just trying to see if there's any correlation with the problem. I'm NVIDIA GPU, Intel CPU, no hub, direct in over motherboard's USB 3.0 on the rear.

Thanks for your effort. I've got an Intel 8700k, AMD R390. I tried it on several USB-Ports, USB 2.0, 3.0, 3.1. It is directly connected. It is not the original USB-Cable but it does fulfil the specs of the cables NI recommend. Latest hardware and BIOS updates. May it does work, when I am able to use Maschine 2.8 :p

And you get the same problem across all of them?

Here's an interesting one: what brand of motherboard do you have? I've got an ASUS.

I have got an Asus, too. I might give the original cable in the front sockets a try. But at the moment, the 2.8 licence thing has to be done

On the 12 th of this month there was another win update.
This time KB4487044. I have removed this one.
Do not know if that helps, but you can always try it.

I might try this later, thanks. The thing is: once connected to the hardware, I can reboot and it works from scratch. If I switch the MK3 off and reboot and then first start the mk3, it does not respond. But: If I load an instrument or sound via mouse, it appears on the Maschine display. But can't use it until I restarted the maschine controller. Not a big thing at all, but I think it has indeed something to do with my pc/motherboard.

When 2 audio interface are connected you will have to power on and off the power button
This let's the cpu know what signal to patch to

Are you sure? I have even three connected, but do not use the interface from maschine at the moment. Could this somehow be related to the midi settings? May I check the configuration.
