i guess there is no official carry bag for release day.

is there a bag out there with a laptop compartment that will fit this thing in?

missed some easy money right there NI........

    heres the dimensions:

    Traktor S8 --- 390 x 580 x 60 / 5 kg

    Traktor S4 mk3 --- 339 x 542 x 60 / 4.3 kg

    S4 MK2 --- 338 x 500 x 72 / 3.4 kg

    DDJ 1000 --- 362 x 708 × 73.4 mm / 6.0kg

whats the smallest single bag thatll correctly fit:

    S4 MK3
    17" laptop
    headphones hd25
    2 psu
    cables

The S4MK3 doesn't fit in any of my cases or bags.
This looks like it might be a good fit: https://www.magma-bags.de/ctrl-case-xxl-ii.html

It would fit the NI hard case if I took a saw to the inside:thumbsdown:

I haven't heard about an official case yet.

I am growing tired of the single use magma dj cases, they tend to fit a single piece of equipment and nothing else. Then when you change controller the bag doesnt fit in some way or other. Hence ive had many now and thrown away money in the process.

Would it hurt to add a laptop compartment to these magma cases??????????

i found this and it appears to be a real dj bag with much thought put into its design, this bag fits the ddj1000 or an s4 mk3 a decision i am going to have to make very soon.

I prefer the Magma cases for my club gigs. I never carry the controller in the same bag as the laptop unless I'm taking it on a plane.
For my wedding DJ gigs, everything is flight cased.

I'm a sucker for a nice bag, case, backpack. I have countless and I can be easily persuaded to buy another.

    No Decksaver available yet.
I sent them a message. No word back yet.
For me the Decksaver cover is the most important.
Any word on an NI Flightcase?

The S2 is sitting on a flight case in this picture, but it’s unclear if it’s made for it.

That's an S2 dude not an S4. Plus, zoom in on the flight case and it's clearly pretty old.

As soon as I hear about official cases for the S4/S2 I'll post here.

So the photo which shows the S4 angled towards the user, does that mean the flight case contains the necessary hardware to achieve this, or is that another "one off" piece of plastic underneath (which is not included) like the MK3 introduction videos with the little plastic feet?

For the record, my last two NI DJ controllers (s4 mk1 and then later the S8) fit perfectly in the NI flight cases and it made for a really, really slick setup. I am excited to see this product ready for launch.

I know I can wait for YouTube reviews 6 months or so from now.
But really a video on the NI product page might have sold me on this a bit sooner.
NI needs more actual use videos and tutorials in general.

Lately I start with DeckSaver covers, hold off on bags or flight cases. They're cheaper and they keep the controller plenty safe (unless you travel to your gig via subways or some other public method). I'm either playing in my studio or driving to a private event (these days) so just an arm-carry S4 with a deckSaver in place works perfectly. They're on Amazon for the mk3 for $75.
