Man, i hate to complain about something as trivial as the numbering of a release but 2.10.0, really? Why not 2.9.5. The naming convention of this made everyone that's waiting for 3.0 feel like it will never come. I feel like I just discovered the carrot I was chasing has been on a stick the whole time. I'm just saying.

Based on the review notes of 2.10 i am very disappointed. I am not even going to bother testing 2.10 Time code issue should be a higher priority as Scratch Pro users pay a higher rate. Instead i am spending my time testing Pio new software.

3.0 wil be no different that any other release.

i am curious if the wav hang and freeze issue fix will be related to the freeze issues we are facing so i will test 2.10 since it won't take me that long to figure out if the bug is fixed . 3.0 will be as messy if not a bigger mess that 2.0 was and still is .

I'd actually be fine with this for a while still :D
No seriously, there's still so many issues in Traktor (Pro Scratch/DVS) as is... if I were asked to pay money to updgrade to version 3 now, I'd pass as I have very little trust in the product or the company atm, seeing what has happened between 2.6.8 and 2.10.0, and I'd have my doubts they are able or willing to fix/add anything of worth to me when they just call it a new mayor version, without having adressed the issues in the current.
There's good reason I am still on 2.6.8... which does play digital files through DVS quite well, but is far from perfect as well and I do curse everytime I have to use the Traktor Interface/collection/playlists...

Any fixes for Traktor crashing in Win 10 if the D2 is switched on prior to starting Traktor? Getting slightly annoying now...

I can't even use Kontrol S8 with windows 10. My S8 is having a lot of audio dropouts with any settings. Also the controller is freezing (it simply stops working and can't do anything but to restart the controller and the software).
On windows 7 i have no problem whatsoever.

well it's officially out, and that's what the email states:

Further details about what’s new in this version are available in the full changelog readme file.

I am not able to find the full changelog readme file anywhere, not in the download, and not in the website. Can anybody please post it here? Thanks.

and troubleshooting information to help you use TRAKTOR.

    2. What’s New in TRAKTOR 2.10.0
TRAKTOR 2.10.0 introduces two new features and a set of bug-fixes as
2.1. Support for the new TRAKTOR KONTROL S5
TRAKTOR 2.10.0 is the first version to include support for the new
TRAKTOR KONTROL S5 controller. Please see the KONTROL S5
documentation for a description of the features and workflows.
In order to support the KONTROL S5, TRAKTOR 2.10.0 also comes with
    the required Controller Editor update.
2.2. Aux Input now supports 2 Stereo Inputs
The KONTROL S5 has both a Microphone and Aux Line Input which both
feed through the “AUX” knob in TRAKTOR. In order to support both inputs
simultaneously, the Aux Input section of the “Input Routing” preference
page now supports two simultaneous inputs which are summed together
and fed to the “AUX” knob. Though this addition was required for
KONTROL S5 support, the feature is available for all users.
2.3. Fixed an issue with legacy Scratch Certified devices
In TRAKTOR 2.9.0, Scratch support was broken for some of the legacy
Scratch Certified devices, such as the Korg Zero4. This issue has now
    been fixed.
2.4. Fixed Remix Deck Tempo Control from KONTROL S8 & D2
In TRAKTOR 2.8.1, a bug was introduced that sometimes made the BPM
adjustment for Remix Decks via KONTROL S8 and D2 unavailable. This
    issue is now fixed.
2.5. Fixed TRAKTOR Freezes/Hangs with certain WAV files
A problem related to ID3 tagging of WAV files which could cause
TRAKTOR to freeze/hang has been fixed.
    3. Known Issues in TRAKTOR 2.10.0
3.1. Stem files must be analyzed before loading and playback
Due to the large amount of data that must be read from a Stem file, it is
currently necessary that Stem files be analyzed before loading into a Stem
Deck. It is not possible to load and play a Stem file before analysis is
3.2. CPU Spike when enabling Keylock on Stem Deck
When enabling Keylock on a Stem Deck, you might experience a brief
CPU spike. This spike is only temporary and CPU load will return to
normal after Keylock has been activated. If you experience this problem, it
is recommended that you enable Keylock before you perform.
3.3. Windows users must run the 32-Bit version of TRAKTOR to be
    compatible with 32-bit audio drivers
TRAKTOR is now a 64-bit application for OS X and Windows. However, if
you are a Windows user who is trying to use older 32-bit audio drivers with
TRAKTOR (for example, audio drivers for Pioneer DJ products), you will
need to run the 32-bit version of TRAKTOR in order to be compatible with
these older drivers by following these steps:
    1. Rename the "Traktor.exe" found in the Traktor 2 folder to "Traktor
64.exe". This will be your backup 64-bit application.
    2. Go to the x86 folder and move the 32-bit "Traktor.exe" file to the
Traktor 2 folder. Now your Traktor 2 folder should contain both files
    "Traktor 64.exe" (64-bit) and "Traktor.exe" (32-bit).
    3. Now you can launch "Traktor.exe" which will be the 32-bit version of
TRAKTOR. You may also create a Desktop shortcut for quick
This problem does not pertain to OS X as the operating system only
    supports 64-bit drivers and applications.
3.4. ALAC Support only for Windows 10
Microsoft Windows 10 will natively support Apple Lossless Codec (ALAC)
playback, thus restoring this functionality to Windows users. If you
previously used ALAC files before QuickTime was deprecated, you can
resume using ALAC files by upgrading Windows to version 10.
3.5. Playback of M4A (AAC) files limited to 48kHz on Windows
The Microsoft Media Foundation supports playback of M4A (AAC) files,
but only up to a maximum sample rate of 48kHz. Attempting to load AAC
files with a sample rate higher than this (like 88.2kHz or 96kHz) will result
    in a file loading error.
    3.6. Fullscreen Issues on Windows
Some Windows users with high-resolution monitors are experiencing
trouble when setting TRAKTOR to Full Screen Mode. This problem
appears to only occur when the “Change the size of all items” Display
Preference is set to a value larger than 125%. Therefore, if you are
experiencing the problem, setting the preference to 125% or smaller
should temporarily fix the issue while we continue to investigate a
    permanent fix.
3.7. Crackling During Playback of WMA Files on Windows
We have now diagnosed the issue that is causing the WMA playback
problem on Windows, but we still need to implement a workaround for the
problem which will take more time. Therefore, WMA playback issues still
    exist in this release version.
3.8. High CPU Load when Loading Tracks on OS X 10.8
OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion is no longer supported as of TRAKTOR 2.8.0.
Users of OS X 10.8 may find high CPU load when loading Tracks into the
Decks. If you experience this, please upgrade your OS to at least OS X
    10.9 Mavericks.

    thanks FloydB for helping out.

so, you need to install the latest version in order to access the readme file, which should help you asses whether you install or not. very clever

and after all, what you find is the same that's been stated previously. ace.

and they still don't list ALAC as an officially "Supported Audio Format", yet!

O well, I only reported this back in october 2014.
They have diagnosed the issue only 6 months ago...

I have the impression their major developers have left one or 2 years ago for Pioneer or so because not much is happening to resolves issues.
If 3.0 doesn't bring me something realy new or fixes all those bugs I reported over the years, I think it's time for a change.
    My patience is running out.

Hi, i just installed 2.10 on my laptop Lenovo yoga pro 2 - 8g ram 1.7 high resolution 3200x1800. Now the software screen is still very small again, so it's very hard to see what actually doing. i thought this might have been sorted out by now as it doesn't seem to happen when i use a older version of Traktor 2.6.8..So i don't know what's going on there, and to be honest it's starting to take the fun away from using Trakor as a software.:(
I do like Traktor scratch a lot, but it's very hard to use when there is so many bugs these days!!

Maybe NI should bring out a light version for us simple ones.. Or remove the stems from Traktor scratch pro that might help a lot
after all, it is called Scratch pro not Stem pro..Then have separate program the for the ones who actually want to use stems!

Hi, thanks for the reply, Altough i did try setting that before with no luck, everything is still so small on the screen.
i tried to upload some pics to show the differance of what i mean between 2.6.8 and 2.10..
They keep failing when i try to upload them tho.
This has been spoken about before on this forum and I'm not the only one with this issue. it seems to be a common problem even on 1920x1080 as well. here the link
