    Hi,
I'm using Kontakt Player 4 AND 5 with Cubase 6 on my MacBook Pro with several Kontakt Player Instruments. Most of my old projects uses Kontakt Player 4. Is there an elegant way to replace version 4 with 5 in my projects? The difficulty is, that I cannot find a way to save my instrument settings in the Kontakt 4 plug-in and reload them in the Kontakt 5 plug-in (in instrument tracks and VSTi rack).
    Thanks for any suggestions.
    Jörg

    Try this out:
-- save the instruments in K4 as a Multi (on the Files button Menu),
-- remove K4 from your project,
-- insert K5 (and sort out the routing),
-- load your Multi (NB - this is still using the original Library samples),
-- save your project, with a slightly different name.

I don't know Cubase so cannot help with those details.

[In some other hosts, it is possible to edit the project file and change the references to Kontakt from v4 to v5 ;)]

Sounds easy. I will try it tomorrow. Thank you DarkStar.

Works great exactly the way you described. Using the original library samples is no problem, because most instruments are additional bought kontakt player instruments which are located outside the normal library paths.

    Thank you for your advice.
