Is Akoustik Piano supported in windows vista 64bit?
I don't think so (yet).
Currently sitting in front of the PC, installing Vista 64 at least during 6 hours now only to find out that I'm not able to use ANY of the Komplete5 products as standalone (all of them crash, I guess none of my audio cards has a "good enough" driver, asio4all does not help).
Just to test I'm going to install Live6 to see if I get the same problems using the instruments as vst's. I believe this should work, but not being able to use them as standalone is not worth it. I guess I'm going to dump 64 and install Vista 32 which works just fine.
Ok, Live6 is unable to load the vsti's, it freezes while scanning the vstiplugin folder.
Will check again in 2 years or so...
please check here for more information on Vista 64bit:
Well, the NI products weren't the only problem I had; one of my MIDI interfaces wouldn't get recognized. That's reason enough for me to drop Vista.
While the products worked with Vista 32, I still had the MIDI problem, and even at a latency of 256 Akoustik Piano had some dropouts, which is a joke.
Now I'm on XP again, and *everything* runs smoothly.
