1. We're currently conducting systematic tests with the release version of macOS 11 (Big Sur) in order to offer full compatibility of our products as soon as possible. You can find our latest compatibility status - here

Please note that although announced at the same time as macOS Big Sur, Apple Silicon processors are an independent release with separate compatibility concerns for NI products. Compatibility with macOS Big Sur will not yet ensure compatibility with Apple Silicon processors. At the moment, Native Instruments products are not supported on computers with Apple Silicon processors. Read more - here

Yeah MIDI 2.0 is here and has a ton of new features.
Like two-way communications with your midi gear. And the protocol is made to work on USB.
Are NI working/planning on to implement it?
As I've read MIDI 2.0 can do everything that every hardware of NI uses of communicating with Software on a PC/MAC.
It works over todays USB cables so there is just a matter of programming the move.

One thing I really want is the micro tonal stuff. Recording Bach and other music from that time is not doing justice in a-440, equal temper.
You need to tune it the right way with the right temper, and MIDI 2.0 will have protocols to do this. A standard for tuning every note the way you want, or of set tempers. Were it be the Baroque tempers, Arabic tempers, Chinese tempers, Jewish tempers, and so on.

Nop. It's not 'here' yet, they just announced it... It will do a ton of interesting stuff but don't expect it to be adopted overnight.

I'd love to think that'd be the case, but the cynical little voice in my head is reminding me that we still don't have MCU protocol. So I'm not holding my breath!
