What is Ostinato String Quartet?

Ostinato String Quartet brings the direct, playful sound of a string quartet to Sonokinetic's Ostinato engine. Recorded in the Cinematic Concert Hall in Zlin with four mixable microphone positions (close, Decca tree, wide and balcony), it covers everything from expressive sustained swells to scratchy 16th-note ostinatos. Play chords and the renewed engine turns them into rhythmic patterns, with inversion arpeggiator, harmonic shift, voicing select, double and half time, and bass invert. Record the result and drag the MIDI into your DAW.
