MASCHINE was designed together with the MASCHINE software as an integrated system. This gives you the best of both worlds – making use of the latest computer technology while offering the intuitive tactile control of hardware.

MASCHINE works as a VST, Audio Units, or AAX plug-in in all major DAWs (Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Cubase, GarageBand, FL Studio, Pro Tools, PreSonus Studio One, and more). This lets you open several instances of the MASCHINE and toggle between them from one controller. You can also use the MASCHINE hardware to control transport functions like play, record, and stop – or use MIDI to map controls to your DAW’s key functions.

Yes. The built-in 96 kHz / 24-bit audio interface has everything you need: 2 x ¼” TRS line outputs, 2 X ¼” TRS line inputs, ¼” dynamic mic input, headphone output, MIDI in/out. See the full audio specifications here.

Yes. You can record internal and external audio via MASCHINE’s audio interface input directly in real time (e.g. sample a drum loop or bass line), then slice and auto map the slices to pads for further arranging and remixing.

Yes. You can stretch samples to a specific BPM and shift to a specific pitch. BPM auto detection makes it easy to change tempo without losing the beat. It can also time stretch the sample to a specific length (e.g. 1 bar).

MASCHINE MK3’s built-in audio interface includes a stereo headphone output and two mono outputs – or right and left channel for stereo output. The MASCHINE 2 software provides 16 stereo outputs. These can be routed within a host sequencer when using MASCHINE as a plug-in, or through your computer's audio interface if it has enough of physical outputs. Plus, every individual sound and group in MASCHINE 2 has one main bus and two aux busses, allowing you to also make efficient use of outboard equipment.

You can import MIDI files, iMaschine projects, AIFF and WAV audio files, and REX 2 files including their slicing information. MASCHINE also offers import for MPC 500/1000/2000(XL)/2500/3000/4000 programs.

You can export audio files in 16-, 24- and 32-bit depth, as well as MIDI files.

Many artists and producers love using MASCHINE and TRAKTOR together, either on the same computer or over separate devices. This flexible hybrid system takes performances to the next level.

With TRAKTOR PRO, you can simply connect with MASCHINE over a local network, hit play, and you are ready to jam in tightly locked sync with Ableton Link. Adjust the tempo on one device and the other(s) will follow suit instantly. You can also connect TRAKTOR and MASCHINE via MIDI clock.

Yes. All KOMPLETE KONTROL features are directly integrated in MASCHINE’s workflow. The KOMPLETE KONTROL software plugin is not required.

MASCHINE JAM’s advanced step sequencing lets you quickly sketch out drums patterns and melodies. It gives you direct access to patterns. Plus, its eight Smart Strips let you get hands-on with perform FX and mixing.
