About Filipe Leitão
Filipe Leitão is an award-winning composer, music producer, and educator. He is Associate Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he leads the Media Scoring program. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from The University of Alabama, an MFA in Music Production and Sound Design for Visual Media from the Academy of Art University (San Francisco, CA), and a Bachelor’s degree in Art Education from the University of the State of Pará, Brazil, where he also served as an Assistant Professor. He has taught composition, orchestration, music production, and film scoring.
