Welcome to the Play Series ETHEREAL EARTH online manual. Read this user guide and learn how to create acoustic ambiences, drones and textures in KONTAKT.

As part of the KONTAKT Play Series of instruments, ETHEREAL EARTH offers rich atmospheric soundscapes and textures, built around an extensive sound library of custom recordings and preset sounds. These presets use the layered sounds of acoustic instruments, like sitars and combines them with synthesized textures, and further signal processing that has been specially designed for unique environments. The combination has broad sonic capabilities, allowing you to produce soundscapes in the form of ambiences, drones, textures, FX and winds, and quickly morph to atmospheric pads, leads and basses, or organic brass, plucks and strings.

ETHEREAL EARTH aims to balance intuitive, performance-focused control with nuanced sound design. The macros offer quick and dynamic control over the synth engine, enabling you to effortlessly shape presets and customise your own sounds. For those who wish to go deeper in sound design, you will find powerful sound editing tools and custom effects chains that offer further control and inspiration. ETHEREAL EARTH also contains an analog-style sequencer that can produce chords, arpeggios and melodic, rhythmical patterns. Ultimately, these tools aim to empower you in your own sound creation!
