Kontrol comes with a USB-C cable. It is bus-powered meaning the USB cable draws power directly from your computer, so there’s no need for an additional power supply. If your computer does not have a USB-C port, you can use your own USB adapter and power supply.

Use the adapter to connect the provided USB-C cable from the keyboard’s HOST port to your computer’s USB-A port. Then connect a USB-C power supply (5V, 7.5W or higher, 1.5A or higher) to the keyboard’s USB-C power supply port.

Die Kontrol S-Series MK3-Keyboards haben zum ersten Mal eigene integrierte Rechenleistung. Anders als frühere Generationen, die für das Rendering von Bildern und Paramter-Mapping auf die Komplete Kontrol-Desktop-Software angewiesen waren, erfolgen diese Berechnungen mit der Generation MK3 jetzt intern.

Das bedeutet, dass du Kontakt-Instrumente nun auch ohne Komplete Kontrol verwenden kannst. NKS steckt direkt im Keyboard – du agierst mit Tausenden von virtuellen Instrumenten und Effekten noch "realer".

Das Format ermöglicht einfaches Browsen, konsistentes Tagging, sofortiges Vorhören, vorgemappte Parameter und Smart Play-Funktionen. Der neue NKS-Standard bringt diese Integration auf ein neues Level – mit erweitertem Parameter-Mapping, noch flüssigerem Browsen und Navigieren und immersiver Visualisierung auf den hochauflösenden Kontrol-Displays.

Die Kontrol S-Series MK3 ist kompatibel mit MIDI 2.0 und bereit für eine Zeit, in der mehr Betriebssysteme, DAWs und Plug-ins MIDI 2.0 unterstützen und verwenden.

MIDI 2.0 benötigt macOS 13.5 oder neuer.

Die Fatar-Klaviaturen sind einzigartige Modelle mit polyphonem Aftertouch, speziell entwickelt für die S-Series-Keyboards.

Polyphoner Aftertouch erlaubt dir, zusätzlichen Druck auf individuelle Tasten auszuüben, um ein MIDI-Signal zu senden und damit verschiedene Parameter zu steuern: Cutoff, Pitch, Vibrato und viele mehr. Im Gegensatz zu monophonem Aftertouch wird das Signal von der jeweiligen Taste gesendet, so dass du Aftertouch expressiver einsetzen kannst.

MPE (MIDI Polyphonic Expression) ist eine Ergänzung des MIDI-Protokolls, auf die sich alle Akteur*innen unserer Branche geeinigt habe. Mit MPE könne zusätzliche Signale auf individuelle Tasten geschickt werden. Dabei könne einige Plug-ins mehrere unterschiedliche MPE-Signale empfangen. Kontrol-Keyboards sind mit polyphonem Aftertouch ausgestattet, daher sind sie kompatibel mit MPE-Plug-ins, die polyphone Aftertouch-Signale empfangen können.

Wir wollen unsere Produkte so barrierefrei wie möglich machen. Die Barrierefreiheit für Kontrol S MK3 wird aktuell implementiert – mithilfe der Accessibility Helper-Software von NI. Die Veröffentlichung ist für die erste Jahreshälfte 2024 geplant.
