Aus den Anfängen der Synthesizer-Zeit

Ondioline ist eine Nachbildung des gleichnamigen analogen Instruments – erfunden 1941 von Georges Jenny und in den 1950er- und 1960er-Jahren produziert. Jenny hatte bei der Entwicklung eine preisgünstigere Version des Ondes Martenot im Sinn – mit einem Keyboard mit demselben lateralem Vibrato und einem Kniehebel zur Steuerung den Lautstärke. Die Ondioline basiert auf Röhrentechnik, verfügt über einen eingebauten Verstärker und stand Pate für Instrumente wie Clavioline, Jennings Univox und Hammond Solovox. Der Klang ist wirklichkeitsgetreu, natürlich und äußerst ausdrucksstark. Sound on Sound beschrieb ihn als "eigenwillig, unterhaltsam und charaktervoll".
