v 1.7 (16.11.2008)

Whats new in 1.7:
-a new advanced midilearn feature for the parameter cells

Colorstrip was designed to suit your sound design needs from very simple to most weird operations in loop slicing/destructing area. Rearrange your samples slice per slice and totally alter them using the granular synthesis. Intuitive interactive interface will allow you to construct new loops on the fly just by making a couple of clicks. Moreover it packed with a special time stretch technique to keep everything in sync with your host and a flexible "buffer exchange" system to copy/paste almost any parameter between scenes and presets.

Concept:
Eight colours represent eight slices. You can set the start position for each slice individually just by moving colour dots on the sampler's window. Each slice has many settings, which you can adjust using the parameter cells below the sampler. Slicesequencer on the upper side of the instrument controls the sequence of these slices (You can also recall slices via MIDI). And finally scenesequencer to control the sequence of the internal snapshots (8 scenes), thus you are able to make a really long arrangements.

Sounds like the ensemble is using a sample that is pirated from a commercial library. Or is the sample in the public domain?

Hi Sonic Fine update, nice improvement of GUI. Convenient that one can now double click the sequencer ruler to "spread" it from start to end. Thanks

Great ensemble! I like the use of the sample flags for position triggering and the interesting UI, the 'big' features are pretty apparent at first blush but I suspect that once I use it some more I'll start getting into the details.

well, if i don't mistake,to make those granular atmospheres i've loaded some old funk loop into my "Flakes" ensemble. the beat is made from different synthetic samples recorded in reaktor. thats all :)

this might sound odd, but what did you use to make that sample? Ive become obsessed with it.

Hi! Thanx for the advice about the separate outputs, but I don't think that poliphony version would be CPU efficient (8 grainclouds is too much). Anyway, if you want the separate outputs you can easily connect POS output of the sequenser macros to the distributor, thus each slice goes to its own output. best.
Soarer

Sounds Great Sonic! This is a mighty tool. Don't know if it'll be too hard to make but have you thought of making seperate outputs for each slice? I guess it would have to be polyphonic then... Not that important but one could eq each slice etc... But I'm already more than happy with this Thanks and looking forward to the update :-)

hey soarer, actually i'm already working on this features (frankly speaking they are already done ;) ), i just want to add some more cool stuff and presets. you'll be able to copy all six cells or even the entire scene! i'm a little bit busy right now, so i'll upload the new version at the beginning of january. thanks.
Soarer

FR: Volume control for each slice would be nice. Being able to copy ALL settings (all 6 cells simultaneously) from 1 scene to another would also be really handy.

Thanx for a nice comments! Sorry, I forgot to mention how to change the samples. To do it, just right-click on the "SAMPLER" inscription (above the samplewave display). Feel free to ask some more questions:)
