JUMP INTO THE MIX

Whether it’s a few friends at a house party, or a few thousand in a warehouse, we want to make mixing tunes and playing sets something everybody can do. TRAKTOR DJ 2 is a DJ app without barriers; it’s free, SoundCloud Go+ integration means you have access to an endless track collection, and TRAKTOR’s song recommendations help you choose which one to play next. All you need is a laptop or iPad.

SYNC

Hit play, and TRAKTOR gets your tunes playing together at the right speed, exactly on beat. This means more time to get busy with effects, loops and Hotcues, or finding that next track to set things off.

Hotcues

Hotcues work like bookmarks in your track. Great for jumping to drops or breaks, or for chopping up vocals. They’re a perfect way to put your own stamp on a piece of music.

MIXER FX:

Effects let you manipulate your sound in different ways – such as an echoing reverb, stuttered gater, bouncing delay, or a smooth filter to cut out either the high or low frequencies of a track.

Multiple Layouts

Choose from different layouts in TRAKTOR DJ 2, depending on how you like to play.

Flux Mode

Flux Mode means that the track’s playback position is never lost when mixing things up. Scratch without losing the groove, and come back to earth on-beat after deep-space sonic excursions.

Freeze Mode (iPad)

Instantly slice a track that’s playing into one-beat segments, and play them like an instrument for chopped audio and off-kilter rhythms.

Nudge to Beatmatch

Turn off sync and get handy with the jog wheels – nudge and stall the deck to beatmatch manually.

Queue & Recommendations

Add the tracks you want to play next to a special playlist to keep them on-hand, and get recommendations on what to play next based on the track that’s playing.

ALWAYS STAY IN SYNC

Throw on a couple of good tunes, and TRAKTOR DJ 2 will get them playing in sync for you. If you want to jump around the track using Hotcues, or loop a section that really hits the spot, then TRAKTOR DJ 2 keeps everything on-beat – so you’ll always be in the flow. TRAKTOR DJ 2 also lets you edit beatgrids, so they work exactly the way you want. And if you want to hone your beatmatching skills, you can always turn it off to do things the old-school way.

SHAPE YOUR SOUND

Adjust the sound of your mix with EQs and a filter on each channel – this means you can cut the bass of one track, for example, and blend in only the vocals and higher frequencies for a smooth and creative mix. Effects let you manipulate your sound and twist up your tracks when things start getting groovy.

FREEZE MODE: REAL-TIME REMIXING

Hit the snowflake icon on TRAKTOR DJ 2 for iPad to freeze the waveform. The track will carry on playing, but you can tap directly onto the frozen section to play it like an instrument. It’s great for chopping up vocals, or for dissecting interesting drum beats to make them your own.
