FOUR ENSEMBLES
SESSION STRINGS PRO gives you a total of four separate ensembles, each with four violins, three violas, two cellos and two basses. These are paired — Sections 1 and 2 work together, and Sections 3 and 4 work together. Play full ensembles or individual instrument groups within each section. And by loading two instances of SESSION STRINGS PRO, you can effectively control all four ensembles at once.
CONTEMPORARY INSTRUMENT PLACEMENT
Sections 1 and 2 use contemporary instrument placement for a close, dry modern sound — particularly suitable for pop, rock and RnB. Section 1 is mic'd close, and in Section 2, the mic position is slightly further away from the instruments. Use the two dials to fine-tune the mix — both sections together blend to produce a sound that's both rich and immediate.
CLASSICAL INSTRUMENT PLACEMENT
In Sections 3 and 4, the instruments were recorded in classical orchestral placement. These ensembles are suitable for more classically-inspired compositions, but still exhibit the clarity and intimacy of Sections 1 and 2. Section 4 mirrors the instrument positioning in Section 3, and puts the mic position further away from the instruments. Use both sections together for a wide, well-balanced stereo sound.
