Prerequisites

Before you get started with this document you will need to have registered your Kontrol S-Series MK3 keyboard serial number using the Native Access application, available from the Native Instruments web site. You will also need to use Native Access to install the following:

  • The latest firmware for your Kontrol S-series keyboard.

  • The NI Hardware Connection Service.

  • The Accessibility Helper Application.

  • Komplete Kontrol.

  • Komplete 15 Select.

If you own other products listed by Native Access, please feel free to install them, but the above list is all that is required to follow along with this guide.

Finally, this guide assumes that you have a basic knowledge of the DAW (Digital Audio Workstation () software that you intend to use with your Kontrol keyboard, so that you are able to create tracks and add plug-ins to tracks.
