Controlling Your Mix
Maschine includes a dedicated Mix view for quick access to level and routing settings of all your Sounds, Groups, and Master channels.
The Mix view provides quick access to the level and routing settings of all your Sounds, Groups, and the Master channels. The mix levels are visualized on the displays as well as an overview of the plug-ins assigned to each channel. Eight channels from each Group are displayed at any one time, and it's easy to navigate to the other Sounds or Groups using the Page buttons and Group buttons.
Mix view is great for controlling your mix while producing, but even better when performing, as the Mute and Solo functions allow you to really perform a mix on the fly.
Navigating Your Channels in Mix Mode
Mix mode enables you to display channel strips at the Group level (i.e. all your Groups) or at the Sound level (i.e. all Sound slots of the Group currently focused).
At both levels, channels are organized into groups of eight channels (four on each display).
Use the Page buttons at the left of the displays to show the next/previous eight channels (Sounds: 1–8 and 9–16; Groups: A1–H1, A2–H2, etc.).
Setting the Focus on a Channel (Sound or Group)
To put the focus on any of the displayed channels (Sounds or Groups), press the Button 1–8 above the desired strip in the displays.
The focused channel is highlighted.
Alternatively, you can focus Groups and Sounds by pressing the Group buttons and the pads as in Control mode. If you set the focus to a Sound or Group not visible on the displays, these automatically switch to the relevant set of eight channels: for example if you are viewing Sound channels 1–8 and press pad 11, the displays automatically jump to Sound channels 9–16 in order to show the Sound slot 11 you just selected.

The focus is strictly equivalent in Mix mode and in Control mode: The Sound or Group focused in Mix mode will also be focused in Control mode, and inversely.
Mix Mode – Displaying the Group Level
To display Group channels, push the 4-D encoder upwards.

The channel strips on the displays represent the Groups of your Project. At the top of the displays, you see the headers of all your Groups. The focused channel is highlighted.

To display the Sound channels of the focused Group, push the 4-D encoder downwards.

The channel strips on the displays represent the Sound slots of the focused Group. At the top of the displays you see two rows:
The first row contains the headers of your Groups. The header of the focused Group is highlighted.
The second row contains the headers of the Sound slots in the focused Group. The header of the focused Sound slot is highlighted.
If you select another Group (by pressing its Group button), the displays directly switch to the Sound slots of the newly focused Group.
Adjusting the Level and Pan in Mix Mode
The Mix mode allows you to quickly adjust the level and panoramic position of each of your channels via Knobs 1–8. To do this:
Mute and Solo in Mix Mode
When Maschine+ is in Mix mode, pressing MUTE or SOLO doesn’t switch the displays to the usual Mute or Solo mode: In addition to the usual procedure to mute or solo Groups and Sounds, you can mute or solo your channels directly in Mix mode. To do this:
Press MIXER to enter Mix mode.
To mute a channel in Mix mode, press MUTE + the Button 1–8 above the desired channel(s).
To solo a channel in Mix mode, press SOLO + the Button 1–8 above the desired channel(s).
The strips of muted channels are grayed out in the displays.
Tip
Even if the displays don’t switch to Mute or Solo mode, the usual procedures for muting and soloing Groups and Sounds stay valid in Mix mode. For more information on the Mute and Solo functions.
Plug-in Icons in Mix Mode
In Mix mode each channel indicates the presence of Plug-ins by displaying small icons arranged vertically on the right of the level meter:

Notice
On the displays, you can see up to seven Plug-in icons in each channel. Any additional Plug-in will not be shown.
